2. What this website provides
We provide typing speed tests, typing accuracy exercises, beginner lessons, practice guides and a progress area. The site is intended for personal learning and general information. No account or payment is required to use the available features.
3. Privacy and the data you enter
TypingSpartan does not ask you to create an account or submit a name or email address to practise. In this release, the typing practice and lesson scripts run in your browser; the text you type during exercises is processed there, and typing results and lesson completion information are saved to your browser’s local storage. The website does not intentionally transmit your typed practice content or locally saved progress to an application server.
Please do not enter passwords, personal records, private messages, payment details or other sensitive information into the typing exercises. We cannot guarantee that content you choose to enter will remain private from software or extensions running on your own device.
4. Browser storage, cookies and choices
We use browser localStorage to remember typing sessions, results and completed lessons on the device and browser you use. This is not the same as creating an online account. Information may be lost if you clear site data, change browsers or devices, or use private browsing. You can view your saved typing sessions, export available results as a CSV file, or clear the saved results and lesson progress from the Progress page. You can also remove this website's local data through your browser settings.
The supplied website release does not include advertising cookies, third-party analytics scripts or third-party font requests. If we introduce non-essential cookies or analytics later, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated before use.
5. Hosting and technical information
Like other websites, our hosting provider and infrastructure services may process technical information needed to deliver pages and maintain security, such as IP address, request time, requested URL, browser information and diagnostic logs. These records may be subject to the provider’s retention periods and privacy terms. Such processing can be necessary to operate and protect the website. 8. Accuracy of scores and information
Words per minute (WPM), accuracy and progress information are approximate learning metrics influenced by passage selection, browser performance, input device and user behaviour. They are not a verified qualification, job assessment, professional certification or guarantee of future performance. Guides are provided for general educational purposes and may not meet every user's needs.
9. Ownership and intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the website design, branding, original copy and original code are owned by Xcel Rank Ltd or used with permission. You may use the website for ordinary practice and link to its public pages. Please do not reproduce or republish substantial parts of the website, its branding or its content as your own without permission. Any third-party rights remain with their respective owners.
10. Availability, external links and liability
We work to keep the service accessible and useful, but may change, suspend or discontinue features or content without advance notice. The website is provided on an “as available” basis.
